Salvador Rodriguez-Rojas, 23, of Mexico, said the eight people in the van were family members and... Two more people were later found behind the back seat of the van...

The men, who also gave sheriff’s deputies fake identification, were arrested on suspicion of human smuggling, criminal impersonation and possession of a forged instrument, all felonies...

Grand Junction is God’s Country. Moreover, I wouldn’t go around on the west slope without a gun. After all, not much of anybody else does.

Mesa County (Grand Junction) is solidly republican ... lots of vineyards too ... truly God's country. Own property there ... within a year, if all goes according to plan, my wife and I will be living in GJ.

The roads are full every day of Mexicans pulling cars back to Mexico. They buy the junkers at the auto auctions and tow them back because they are not permitted to buy new cars.

I live close to a major north/south highway and I see the same guys going back and forth every week.

On the subject of deporting, neuter them then deport them as a warning to the rest. You get caught, you get cut, then sent back.

This works out perfect for them. These men are probably Coyotes that make a living smuggling illegals across the border. When they get here the government gives them a free ride back to the border so they can bring in another group.

Palisade peaches ... served on AF One ... no kidding. The fact Mesa County is firmly Republican might might help too ... however, the soil, altitude, sunny climate, and the confluence of two rivers (the Colorado & Gunnison) which gives the area abundant water for crops (such as peaches & grapes) makes the area very fertile.
