I'm just listening to Ari Fleischer on John Gibson's show, and he is mentioning that there was a standing ovation for McCain at the CPAC convention, and that CPAC is full of staunch Conservatives. I'm sure my neighbors don't appreciate it, but I'm yelling at the TV screen: "That's because he bussed in his supporters you morons!! Get your facts right!!!" I'd read Trueblackman's postings earlier about how he saw this with his own eyes at the convention. Why the media can never tell the truth is beyond me.
That room at CPAC holds a couple thousand people. The word from Tbm was “a couple” busses rolled in which would mean a couple hundred people at best.
To infer that a couple hundred people controlled a couple thousand is ridiculous. If anything, the caution from CPAC officials not to boo rendered them silent which allowed the McCain faction to rule the roost.
Chalk one up for the McCain campaign. CPAC got out manuevered.
