My wife is one of those Republicans. She says Mormonism is a cult and that only a crazy person would be a Mormon and that she's not voting for a lunatic.

Just about to make that point. I think mormonism is a cult, as well (SBC, here), so it becomes a question of whose craziness is going to have a more adverse effect. Mccain wins that race running away, imo.
