OFFICIAL FR SUPER BOWL XLII LIVE THREAD
NEW YORK GIANTS VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Sunday February 3, 2008
At University of Phoenix Stadium
Glendale, AZ
6:17PM ET
TV Network: FOX
If the Race is that close I will need a new Ticker and Plumbing...
Played the way a Super Bowl should be played! I couldn’t comment for watching. Both teams did well, and the Giants pulled off a great win. They deserved it.
Moss was doubled all night. He faked a guy out and turned him around and scored a touchdown in crunch time. I think Moss got 6 receptions. The double coverage opened it up for Welker. You can what you want about Moss the person, but he’s a great athlete.
Ouch....that has to hurt the Pats. To get that close to a Dream Season.
I do not watch football a lot, but it is almost impossible for a team for win 19-0, they should have a lost a game or two in the regular season to get more in touch with reality.
I was just saying that here. He was way over-confident.
Two weeks and the season begins.
What’s the point spread now?
Giants D won the game. No doubt about it, they were awesome. Holding thre Pats to 14 was pretty much the clincher.
Yup. But not just the play, but the entire Giants' season. Lotta folks wrote 'em off at 0 - 2.
Enjoying my victory cigar immensely right now.
Same question. I thought that looked classless that Belichek wouldn’t even wait until the game was over to leave the field. Of course, he seems to show his ass constantly anyway.
That's probably a true statement 24 hours a day, 365.
I am SO glad I watched! I almost didn’t; I was afraid of a New England Blowout.
Good job, Giants!!! I now lay to rest all the nasty things I said about Eli Manning when he was drafted.
Well, if you call a sack that basically forces the other team to turn over the ball with one second left, I guess that’s “falling apart”...
That is the perfect ending, make it all the way to the Super Bowl and FAIL!
Way to go Giants.
I stand corrected. I was too busy typing to see that exchange.
except Moss pulled up on the third to last play of that last drive when he may have been able to catch it if he had played hard.
I disagree, it was the football equivalent of a classic pitcher's duel up to that point. Every play was huge. Sometimes the best games are the low-scoring ones.
Sorry, I don’t know...
