Get to know Mike: Some samples of Mike's lies:...the Huckster is spinning. He lies like a rug.
But the immigration example you gave me along with the Dumond case (or at least the specifics you gave me) only shows that Huckabee was mistaken--badly mistaken. On what grounds do you accuse him of outright lying?
Defend MIKE or McCAIN as "Christian" or "conservative" for that matter. Good luck! Continue to be the blind bigot you are comforatable being.
I simply mention factual info like their church affiliation & that's "defending" them? (Like many FReepers who support Hunter or Thompson, we're all in a less-than-ideal situation here)
I find it very hypocritical that you dont point out the unchristian stances that both McCain and Huckabee stand on that are unchristian and they CLAIM to be Christian.
OK. Well, again, let's look at the two things you chose to focus on that identifies these guys as taking "unchristian stances." You pointed out the Arkansas Dumond case. Question: Is Huckabee defending what he did there? Is this a "stance" of his--that he's defending that action? (don't think so)
So then we're back to immigration and illegal immigration. The article you cited--well, most of Huckabee's comments were so broad that they could be interpreted as referencing legal immigration. But obviously, none of us are dufuses. You can't be speaking to Hispanic civil rights workers without knowing their agenda includes illegal immigration status. So why we both just agree to slam Huck on that. Let's just agree that he's been on the wrong side of the illegal immigration debate in his Arkansas years. (There, wasn't that easy?)
But now it's up to you to prove 2 things: (1) It's up to you to prove to me that even his previous stances (which, BTW, have improved since then) are "unbiblical" and "unChristian." (Your words). We both agree illegal immigration is bad for the U.S. (you don't need to prove that). Just prove to me where it says that in the Bible. Secondly, show me where anybody's stance on a position like illegal immigration moves them into the "unChristian" camp. (So a bad social issues policy means God has kicked them out of Christ's camp?)
The panel last night justified Fox’s poll result (while admitting it COULD be an outlier) by saying if you take McCain’s national numbers BEFORE Rudy dropped out and endorsed him, then ad Rudy’s national numbers to McCain’s, why, Shazzzaaammm!, you get somewhere around the 48 number. Oh, well, THAT explains everything. Not!
Trust me, the Huckster has an agenda, and he’ll be rewarded for it. He’s in the race to splitconservative votes and ensure a McCain victory. Why does he only attack Romney? And why does McVain only attack Romney, never Huckafeller?
Why? They have a deal.
So Huckafeller is overtly joining in the McLame hit on Romney.
This just confirms what Ive been thinking. The only reason the liberal Huckafeller is staying in a race he knows he cant win is to split conservative votes, ensure a McVain victory, and get the Vice Presidential nomination.
The only thing that will turn off some conservatives worse than the dishonest McVain at the top of the ticket is The Huckster alongside him.
Can you say Blecccchhh!? Sure, I knew you could.
Romney is not the one who approached the Dimmycraps about joining their party.
Huckafeller is a Bloomberg Republican.
Tell the pollsters that youre going to vote for McCain, tell the exit pollsters that you voted for McCain, but vote for whichever candidate has the best chance of beating him in your state.
The desperate words of a Loser.
The desperate words of a liberal liar. A fundamentally dishonest person. Thus, a perfect runnign mate for the dshonest McVain.
“Re Romney putting his own money into his campaign...seems to me when someone is willing to put their OWN money where their mouth is they believe in their cause. Romney may not be perfect, but, imho, hes WAY better than McCain.”
I agree! Like Rush said, someone who works hard and is successful needs to be put down by the liberal folks.
I have heard that Romney’s donations have gone up since McCain’s Florida win. I was included as I donated too. As far as I am concerned Mitt is our only choice, and the more I hear him the more I like him. He is the only one left who has the right stand on illegal immigration!
Yep Just like chill bill and hildabeast.
Really? I'm no follower of Hagee (I disagree with most mainstream prophecy teachers on fundamental levels) but do you have a reference for that? I'd love to examine his logic, see how he came to that absurd conclusion.
lol. The night McCain won the Fla primary, I donated to Mitt’s campaign and ordered Mitt buttons.
Huck may think of himself as more conservative than Romney
but
1 - on taxes and illegal immigration in particular, he was not as gov of ark and is not now more conservative than Romney, nor is more conservative or astute than Romney on the economy and economic freedoms
2 - regardless of that, it’s (his conservatism) irrelevant;
the delegate count and polling indications are (a)he cannot win, even of Mitt left the campaign but (b)Mitt has a chance if the Huckster quits his Don Quixote role
AND THEREFORE (c) Huck should not be campaigning against Mitt, but against McPain who is far less conservative than Huck or Mitt
So, it is clear that unless Huck is an idiot he is not campaigning for President but for VP under McPain
A vote for Huckabee is a vote for Huckabee — not a vote for a brokered convention and a conservative replacement.
You heard if from Huckabee himself, the guy who came in a distant loser in Florida.
That was Brit's Brilliant "All Star Panel?"
(while admitting it COULD be an outlier)...me thinks that the more accurate response they could have made would have been to eliminate the 'could' and put a definite 'is an outlier' in it's place.
...as you said, and it deserves repeating, "Oh, well, THAT explains everything. Not!"
P.S...Thank you for telling me this as I had not heard them trying to do this lame a$$ justification.
He won't. He'll probably answer and ask for a donation, though.
If he makes the nominee I might donate. Not yet though. He looks like he is doing fine without my money though.
A vote for McCain is a vote for Hillary; a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain.
Huckabee needs to step aside. Even John Edwards is a better man.
Go, Mitt!!
On Thurs., when Huckabee was interviewed by a Calif. radio station, he was asked why he hasn’t dropped out of the race. He said, “I haven’t dropped out because I think that I can win the nomination. Only 8% of the delegates have been chosen. Next week, they’ll vote in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Georgia. I’ll do very well in Missouri and Georgia, which, combined, have more delegates than Florida. When people ask why I haven’t dropped out, I look at the other two and say, ‘Why don’t you drop out?’”
I hope I was clear.
The justification they used for using the extreme poll numbers was that McCain having 48 COULD be real because Rudy just dropped out and Rudy’s numbers plus McCain’s numbers just might NOW add up to around 48.
Their reference to “possible it’s an outlier poll” was, I think, to cover themselves because they know the other polls don’t look THAT bad for Romney compared to theirs, and to cover themselves on Super Tuesday just in case.
But I could hardly believe my ears, since what they were saying is that every pro-Rudy pollee probably transferred their loyalty to McCain like a bunch of good little Robots, and that if so, the Fox poll was the one that caught it.
Mindbendingly in the tank for McCain!
A vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain.
