I just noticed an interesting thing this evening. Someone posted a picture of Obama campaigning. He was talking with a couple of white women in a restaurant.
I thought to myself that it seems that every picture I see of Obama campaigning is always in a group, or crowd, of mostly white people. Don’t know if that is deliberate, but it reminded me of the Clinton strategy of having loads of pictures of them rubbing shoulders with black people.
The difference between Obama and the Clintons in that regard is that Obama’s heritage is as much white as it is black.
I decided to do a Google Images search. I know there must be pictures of Obama campaigning among black people, but there are very few under a search using keywords “Obama” and “Obama campaigning”.
There appear to be a lot of white people who support Obama. I can’t imagine that holding the Democrat convention in Denver will bother him a bit. They will have done a lot to get him there, if he can overcome the machinations of the Clinton campaign.
