Best brand out there. Go buy. I always do, and have done for years.
Absolutely astounding news!
Congratulations on arranging this with that great company.
They have the very best, durable stuff going!
I JUST had an email from my grandson - 2nd/503rd/ 173rd - BATTLE CO - in the Korengal Valley in the Kunar - in the bitter cold of the mountains. It is hellaciously cold - they have no power, no heat, no hot food but MRE’s (totally inadequate in that cold. - plenty of PKM and mortar fire.
They didn’t used to keep the troops there in the mountains because the weather is inhumanly cold. Several hundred locals have already died due to the cold there - and they have lost thousands of their animals,
Were it not for people like you sending food, warm clothing, etc - they would be in even worse straights,
In looking at one of their patrol photos taken this month, it looks like they have the same boots they had in summer???They also don’t have the heavy jackets we’d think they’d have - They’re wearing Gore Tex - but it doesn’t look all that warm for the conditions - minus 30 wind chill the other day,-
I just sent another box of WigWam socks - they love those =and baklavas today and am going to order some Merino Wool liner socks . talked with a gal at the company (REI) and she said they wick the moisture away from the foot, helping to keep them dry and warm.
http://www.rei.com/product/737998?vcat=REI_SEARCH I don't know if any of the CARHART gear is going to BATTLE Co out in the Korengal or not?
also, why would a private company need to donate to the US military? i think it's great. just asking...
Well, from their website, it appears they’re opening production in Mexico. At least it’s not China.
