Oh I don’t know. Maybe some of those teenagers will spend more time in the sex box and less time fooling around with each other.

While all the disagreeing comments may be valid, it is equally true that it is only a matter of time till a game doing exactly what is claimed is produced.

I hear the nay-sayers claiming I'm being the wild and crazed Bible thumper I've always been

Well....the first step to recovery is recognizing the problem.

I’m disappointed to see that we have our own “it’s for the chirren” squad on our side as well.

Because there aren't actually two "sides" - it's the same group of people:

"Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire." -- Robert A. Heinlein

I’m going to agree with most of the posts here so far. You can’t ban the male libido. Most heterosexual men like to look at naked women. There’s good evidence to me that we’re constructed that way from the start. Banning software that allows you to create porn is like banning paper and pencils that allow you to create porn. Good luck with that.

The author leaves out the obvious truth that most men would also agree with - men have to accomodate the needs, desires, and, yes, the demands, of women, whose sexuality is operating in a far different place than a man’s sexuality. Go ahead, construct a woman whose breasts defy gravity and whose attitudes defy logic, and then see how a real woman reacts to you. The rolling of the eyes and the brief insulting laugh should be enough to change the mind of most men.

Just to balance the scales, God has also made women extremely succeptible to byzantine soap operas and romances, with the occasional murder mystery thrown in. Expect software to replicate those desires, too.

By the way, the author needs to learn that correlation is not causation. Sure, lots of serial killers like porn, but the desire for porn might emerge after, not before, the sociopathic expression of behavior.

Anyway, good luck there being the morals police for American males.

Narcissism seems to be a common gene between Slick and Thunder Thighs ooozzzing with the need and demonstration of such of megalomania.

Yes, but be that as it may, for all the power they wield, they are still mortal. Thank God for that.

And we all are sinners to stand before the Almighty one day to be judged. It’s hard doing what God wants us to do for Him, however, I honestly believe the Klintoons do not care to believe in any of the Christian principles.

The truth is, you cannot hide the world from everything like the writer suggests. In truth, the human mind varies so much, that they will claim that ‘anything’ turned them to their life of crime. We cannot hold inanimate objects responsible, or the people who made said objects if they were meant for mature audiences. The rating system for videogames is there for a reason. People need to respect that and be done with it.

But for someone to blame sex for the reason behind someone turning into a serial killer is like blaming their religious beliefs for the same reason. I mean I’ve played mass effect, and played through the game to reach the ‘sex scene’ that everyone talks about. The game would’ve been good if they covered her up, probably would’ve been less of a media circus out there too. But to say that someone needs a 54 inch LCD HD television?! Comon... who in this discussion has that kind of money? I know I don’t...

Infact, durring the first time I saw the sex scene... I didn’t notice a thing. She looked okay to me, it was later on that I had to look ‘really’ up close to see the famous ‘boobage’ that everyone is ranting about. To me, it is appearant that the writer needs to actually play the game before they can complain about the plot. The game is called mass effect because of numerous mass technologies in the game and the way the effect of the technologies has on humanity.

So, my closing argument is this. Worry less about M-Rated games that require you to be carded to purchase, and worry more about what IS going on in the world. If you worry too much about the little things, the big things will pass you by and you will never get a chance to do anything about it. Go to church, make friends, spread the good news...
