I agree, jveritas. Huckabee was very much in command, even though Thompson was potshotting him at every opportunity. McCain showed well, too, even though he has the verbal skills of George W.

Giuliani and Romney stumbled slightly here and there, but had overall strong showings.

Any one of the five would be a good choice.
