I noticed too that Huckabee did not really say what Ephesians says about “submitting”. Maybe he thought the audience could not understand,More likely though, he just lost his train of thought trying to reply in a secular way to a spiritual question.
He was putting it in a context that they could understand. If he tells them “as christ loves the church”.... then he’s got to have point 2 of his sermon to bring it home.
