Is your screen name taken from the early medieval king, Charles Martel, who stopped the Muslim invasion into France in approximately 700 A.D.?

Lewis Carroll mocked the complexity of caucuses in Chapter 3, "A Caucus-Race and a Long Tale," of Alice in Wonderland. Here, after handing out prizes to others, Alice receives a thimble from a Dodo as her prize from the caucus race

What's next? Giuliani saying he feels like "Cinderella Man."?

McCain saying he feels like "The Natural"?

Hmmm . . . I'm running out of feel-good Hollywood epics set in the Depression era.

+"I believe in things like a strong national defense, less government, lower taxes. I believe in the integrity of small business, knowing that that's where 80 percent of our jobs come from...I'm also pro-life, I'm pro-Second Amendment; I believe in the 10th Amendment -- let there be more power in the states, less in the centralized federal government. Now, if that's not conservative, somebody needs to hand me a new book and show me what conservatism is about."

Huckabee said he "loves" Rush Limbaugh, but he doesn't understand what information Limbaugh is basing his criticism on. "I've been a big fan of his show for many years, and I hope to make it so someday he loves me as much as I love him." Limbaugh has said he's looking at Huckabee's record as Arkansas governor.

And there you your answers!... I like what I hear... it seems to me he is being VERY CLEAR

:)

Does anyone think Huckabee will be strong amongst socially conservative, but otherwise not so conservative Catholics? I’m not describing all Catholics, but many in my area of Northern New Mexico fit this description. We had a conservative preacher win against a popular, liberal Hispanic candidate who decided to champion women’s rights and abortion. Old Hispanics turned out in big numbers to elect a white, protestant conservative. If Huckabee has the same effect on Catholics here, he will win New Mexico in a walk. Any thoughts? Has anyone considered this?
