WASHINGTON DC -- Thompsons appearance on Fox News Sunday this morning was billed by his campaign as an opportunity to rollout a new tax reform proposal, but after talking about taxes for less than three minutes, Thompson shifted the conversation towards the tax benefits of his Social Security plan. Host Chris Wallace then took that as a cue to discuss various criticisms of Thompsons campaign made by his rivals and Foxs own conservative pundits.

FOX News, imo, has been "too Rudy" for too long.
I like his tax idea.
Why Freddie Dalton Thompson should critisize FOX is beyond me! They have given him more freebies and cream puff interviews than any other channel.
Fred has received plenty of criticism on Fox
You got that right.
And old "fair and balanced" has been too easy on Hillary too.
I like Fred, and I also like the idea of a flat tax. Eliminate the IRS entirely and save everyone a bunch of money. Sounds great to me.
Fred projects himself as an honest-to-goodness “grown up”, a real responsible adult. I love that quality about him.
I’m glad that he took them on, and I’m glad that he did such a good job of it.
I didn’t see the round table portion of the show, but everyone says that they shutout Thompson again even though he was the primary interview, is that true?
The media obsession with Rudy is toxic to the process. Fred is a serious top tier candidate and should be treated that way.
Honey, you’ve just gotto get away from those kids once in a while! :)
Barnes tried to shove Miers and amnesty down our throat. Kraut is anything BUT a conservative socially and tends to strongly dislike their involvement in politics.
While I respect Kraut on SOME issues, and respect barnes never any longer, neither is where I’ll go for a decisive opinion if uncertain.
And FOX can spin this anyway it wants, there isn’t a single objective soul out there that doesn’t know they’ve been shoving a Rudy vs Hillary showdown (hannity doing his fair share) down our throat. And, btw, Allah? You’re no unbiased soul either...
They’ve done puff pieces on Huckabee, they’ve introduced Romney as our only alternative if we dump Rudy, but Thompson hasn’t been their choice from the get go anymore then he’s been Dobson’s or CNN’s. When leading in the polls, they’ve told the world he’s lazy. When down in the polls, they dismiss him as non-existent.
Well, I know one thing these self serving elites can take to the bank. Only ONE candiate in doubt digits has presented thorough conservative plans and has a record to offer as positive indication he’d act upon them. Only ONE. That’s who I’m voting for because, you know, I actually do BELIEVE those fancy conservative principles they squak about in their columns to put bread on the table before they rush off for the night to attend cocktail parties with the libs. And they might as well count this conservative out without his nomination.
And as for their precious Rudy? Yeah, I’ve already started to detail the man’s record to “swing” voters I know. I have no loyalty to the “Republican” party anymore. Conservative or nothing.
Serious television. Now there’s a laugh.
You are absolutely correct.
Oh really PaperDoll?Im a Hunter guy first but they have been slagging off FDT from the start and shilling for the cross dresser from the get-go.BOR said his campaign has gone nowhere yet FDT is 2nd in the national polls.Murdoch has the word out.
ROTFL!
Yep, not one word on the Brit and Juan panel! The irony was thick and obvious.
“They have given him more freebies and cream puff interviews than any other channel.
ROTFL!
Yeah, SuziQ. It is funny to me too. If Paperdoll is right, then how come you and I have been yelling at the Fox folks for months now, “WHAT ABOUT FRED???????!!!!!”
