From leading the charge to impeach President Bill Clinton in 1998, to the 2004 exposing of the fraudulent National Guard documents that led to Dan Rather's firing by CBS News, to the recent deep-sixing of expansion of the S-CHIP program, Freepers, as members at the site are known, have changed politics in America.

Don't forget Freepers efforts in the Sore-Loserman fiasco of the 2000 election.

And I “think” FR was the first to catch the CNN complicity in the debate the other night, when chatting live about it the Casino worker was discovered immediately as a plant/cued questioner.

Free Republic rocks!

Oh, that was a GREAT sign. I put one on my front door. A repairman arrived, and he burst out laughing. He also said his wife was waiting for him in the car and she was laughing too. He did a great repair job, also.

I was not a member at the time, but my favorite FReep story has to be “Get out of Dick Cheney’s House.”

The 2000 election was when I discovered FR and it really helped me through that fiasco to find my simpaticos here are FR. I will always be grateful.
