The author’s contention is that liberals cannot accept the idea that a liberal (communist) killed JFK. I think it goes deeper, as this thread demonstrates. Even conservatives are uncomfortable with the idea that so powerful a man could be slain by such an insect as Lee Harvey Oswald. It must have taken a mighty conspiracy of the elite, the rich, the connected ones.
Well, greater men than Kennedy have died at the hands of lesser than Oswald. Indeed they have died by mosquito bites and amoebae and viruses. It outrages one’s sense of proportion, but mature minds accept it when it happens.
Oswald did it. Deal with it!
My point exactly ... your point about liberals unable to accept the fact a mouse like Oswald (who in many respects was one of them) could kill such an esteemed member of their ranks is a good one.
One other point the conspiracy cool-aid drinkers can't explain away ... the weapon Oswald used to assassinate Kennedy was found hidden in the Book Depository (shortly after the shooting) with Oswald's prints on it, the weapon had been recently fired, and the ballistics matched.
