Why President Bush Sided With Mexican Killers

The U.S. Supreme Court's hearing of the case, Medellin v. Texas, has reminded the American people of President Bush's terrible tendency to put the foreign interests of Mexico above those of the United States. But the case, being heard on October 10, is significant for another reason. It demonstrates the dangers of passing global treaties and getting involved with international courts and tribunals. The Senate should remember this lesson as it ponders ratification of the U.N.'s Law of the Sea Treaty, which creates an International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and various "dispute resolution panels" that will inevitably rule and act against the U.S. The Senate could vote on this treaty shortly and the odds are that it will pass unless the American people voice their objections immediately and vociferously.

This is very, very disturbing.

Yes it is. On so many levels.

In response to those that are ignorant of the history before us, it's best to maintain a sense of humor, in a sometimes vain attempt to get the point across.

They are hopelessly lost, or march to a different drum.

Good advice. How very correct you are.

They are hopelessly lost, or march to a different drum.

My opinion as well.

His commitment to this idea is fleshed out by Bush sending the Solicitor General on his behalf to brief on behalf of the defendant. This is a clear violation of his oath to the Constitution of the United States. What on earth has happened to Bush?

Let me challenge you a little.

IF,............ IF the scenario is in fact as I laid it out earlier, that this kind of challange was going to happen somtime in the next, say, 5 years, would you rather it happen under Bush and with a case of unspeakable horror:

OR

Under President Hillary!, who chose to have a case of a bank robbery committed by an illegal?

I would prefer the current scenerio as compared to the second one I laid out. The second one would pass by nearly unnoticed.

If Bush prevails at the Supreme Court, your scenario would forever tarnish Bushs’ name. Besides, he held the no infamous meeting with Vincinte Fox, the Canadian Prime Minister in Waco Texas to form the North American Union agreement. He has overseen the attempt by Dubai to the port. He has overseen the TransTexas corridor developement which creates an unfettered road 1200 feet wide from South America to Alaska. I hate to say it , but Bush is a One Worlder.

I don’t disagree with you about tarnishing his name, but you didn’t answer my question.

On immigration and border policy, I do not see anyone doing a poorer job than President Bush, not ever Hillary (I am sorry to say).

That was an answer to a question I didn’t ask.

I asked:

Which case would you prefer to see before SCOTUS?

The case we have right now, a unrepentant rapist and killer who did an unspeakable crime including raping and strangling two pretty young girls, torturing them over the hours before killing them? A killer that’s automatically hated by all but the most uncaring liberal.

OR

An unknown bank robber who committed a ‘victimless’ crime against a bank?

Which case would you choose if you wanted SCOTUS to uphold our sovereignty?

unfettered road 1200 feet wide from South America to Alaska.

Don't want to get in the middle of this but why is the road so wide? Maybe because it will prevent snipers from causing problems? Just a thought. It may stir up some crazies to take pot shots.

Hope not but since it's in the plans it may have been a factor.

You give to me only false choices. I do not accept them as exclusive. My point is this. For the United States Government representative representing the President (the people) to discard the Constitution to affirmatively represent the World Court as a valid and superior to the U.S.Constitution is a presidence which on its face is violative of an oath of office and a dangerous subjugation by the U.S.authorities (willfully) to Global rule. Under no circumstances, beyond a nation to nation treaty violation should anyone in the federal or state governments yield to supranational judicial bodies when a soverein state (Texas) has adjudicated the matter legally and thoroughly. Don't allow the cammels' nose under to flap of the tent.

But I understand what you are saying. I simply do not allow for any.......any supranational entity to adjudicate state matters. It is that simple.

As I understand it the 1200 foot width is to accommodate a railway ( both ways), a ‘trucks only’ highway (both ways), and a highway for automobile travel. By the way it will be owned and operated by a firm in Spain.

Don't want to get in the middle of this but why is the road so wide?

Would you prefer, 4 lanes bumper to bumper each way, all they way to Bogota? Just think, it'll take only days for 10 lanes each way to be filled with Lord only knows what kind of cargo.

Even during war time, the government seems helpless to stop hundreds of tons a drugs per year, and thousands of trucks with unknown loads, tens of thousands with human cargo...

That George is one kooky Compassionate Conservative Christian. This country needs to follow his lead and understand the viewpoint of someone who would gang-rape, torture, smash the windpipe while ripping a Mickey Mouse watch off the wrist of a little girl. Yeah, he’s a great guy...POS...

Crap, I’m so far behind in this thing and I thought I was informed.

Informed? I tried calling a government office once, went through 27 menus of robotic like instructions, took 15 minutes, and when I finally pressed the digit I was directed to, it told me all operators are busy, and to call back later. I was then disconnected.......

I apologize for my tirade. Maybe Johnny Sutton could explain the legal ramifications to the father’s of the dead girls and they would understand our beloved president’s decision...

LOL. Know exactly what you’re talking about. I tried calling Immigration about all the illegals in my little town and NEVER got a person to talk to or an option to report them.

Just gave up as I’m sure they wanted that reaction.

I didn’t give any false choises. As the facts exist, it IS in front of SCOTUS.

Covering your ears and shouting NO! NO! is the reaction of a child.

In my hypothetical, the case was going to be in front of SCOTUS, and as I pointed out above, reflects real life.

I was asking you to look directly into the mouth of the lion, and tell me what you thought was the best way to avoid being bit.

The lack of courage by so many Freepers, including yourself, to look into the mouth of the lion on so many of issues is very disappointing and shows a real lack of courage and imagination.

Those failings don’t bode well for our side when we are facing such a determined enemy.
