The U.S. Supreme Court's hearing of the case, Medellin v. Texas, has reminded the American people of President Bush's terrible tendency to put the foreign interests of Mexico above those of the United States. But the case, being heard on October 10, is significant for another reason. It demonstrates the dangers of passing global treaties and getting involved with international courts and tribunals. The Senate should remember this lesson as it ponders ratification of the U.N.'s Law of the Sea Treaty, which creates an International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and various "dispute resolution panels" that will inevitably rule and act against the U.S. The Senate could vote on this treaty shortly and the odds are that it will pass unless the American people voice their objections immediately and vociferously.

Let me carry that idea a bit further.
IF the WH saw this situation coming down the pike, and at some point we would be forced to have this decided at the SCOTUS, which case would we (you, I, the Freepers, and all the rest of the conservatives) want this decision tied to:
Some lessor felony charge, say an armed bank robbery,
OR
This unspeakable cruel double rape and murder?
Easy to say THIS is the case to tie this to, as the whole country is in a outrage. (Well, OK, I can't speak for the libs)
If what I outlined above is true, we should ALL thank God for such a stratigic thinking president who is willing to take the heat for our misunderstanding.
You continue to repeat this, when I only responded to what you stated in #173.
What gives?
Make that #167.
Sorry, you can’t hijack this into a discussion on the invasion of illegals.

What gives? I’m moving on Sgt. Friday. See ya later.
Maybe because they didn’t follow proper procedure and shot someone in the back?
I respect your opinion however, I don’t see any pass on this one. No way...no how.
I know. I wonder how many HAVEN’T read it?
Thank you. Wish I didn’t even have to write about it.
If they did I could care less. After what they did to those two girls it's what they had coming to them. No, I take that back, they had coming to them exactly what they did to those two girls, that would have been justice.
OK by me Tex. Justa friendly exchange...
These guys are scum (the killers). DISREGARD MY EARLIER UNRELATED COMMENT!
I don't even want to hazard a guess on that. :)
This is another straw on the camel’s back that makes me question Bush’s character and judgment. Now I wonder, is he a liar? Is he a fraud? Has he been a liar and a fraud all along? Should I question the war in Iraq? Bush’s appointments?
This is very, very disturbing.
I meant to post on a Ramos and Compean thread.
I've made that same mistake myself.
I have heard that there are 50 other cases, in 6 different states that are somehow included or dependant on this case. But yes, we have rescinded this treaty.
Yes it is. On so many levels.
DevSux seems to subscribe to that “Geraldo State of Mind”.
I having some trouble with my Internet access tonight, but the brief I mentioned is referenced in this article in today’s National Review Online by Ramesh Ponnuru: “http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=M2NhYmY0MDJiZDliN2M5MWNmYzE2ODUxYjI0MzcwZTI= “
Anybody know Bush’s record as Governor of Texas as far as
“preferential” or “interventional” treatment afforded illegal Mexican Immigrants who were up for execution? Any who got “saved” from it by GW Bush? After all, one of the big “knocks” against Bush as President (from the Left) was that he and Texas were both “execution-happy”.
"Bush league?"
