TEHRAN, Iran (AP)- Enriched uranium fuel is ready to be shipped from Russia to Iran's first nuclear power plant, state television on Sunday quoted Iran's foreign minister as saying.

The announcement comes after talks in Moscow between minister Manouchehr Mottaki and Russian nuclear chief Sergei Kiriyenko to address delays in completing the $1 billion joint Iranian-Russian Bushehr power plant.

``Nuclear fuel for this power plant, inspected and sealed by the International Atomic Energy Agency, is ready,'' the broadcast quoted Mottaki as saying late on Saturday. ``We do see the trend of cooperation between Iran and Russia moving ahead for the Bushehr power plant.''

I believe that IRAN has no “HOSTILE INTENT” whatsoever, and that they are merely seeking the “nukes” for the purpose of generating power to be used for electricity to power the light bulbs in the homes of their law abiding, peace loving citizens. /sarcasm>

Anyone think otherwise? please speak up?

I am so glad you see it the same way I do.. I was starting to think my analysis of Iran’s intent was wrong, and that there was in fact some “provocation” intended... I am so glad made me come my senses.. I think we should all put Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on our CHRISTMAS LIST so can feel loved by all of us like-minded peace loving Americans !

Isn’t Russia in violation of the Combating the Spread of Nuclear Weapons Supplier Protocol?

If we hit Iran, we would hit Russia too, then no?

Iran’s intent is wrong? Oh no. Did you see yesterday’s press release from Tehran? They called for President Bush’s arrest.

RUSSIA COMPLETES SAM DELIVERY TO IRAN

MOSCOW [MENL] — Russia has confirmed the completion of anti-aircraft deliveries to Iran.

A senior Russian official asserted that Moscow delivered all 29 TOR-M1 mobile, short-range surface-to-air missile systems to Iran in late December 2006. The official confirmed a previous statement by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, who reported that the deliveries to Iran had been completed.

“Russia has fulfilled its contract obligations and fully completed deliveries of TOR-M1 air defense systems to Iran,” Sergei Chemezov, the director of the state arms export agency Rosoboronexport, said on Tuesday. “The systems were delivered in late December of last year.”

Chemezov confirmed the completion of the TOR-M1 deliveries during a visit to India. The Rosoboronexport chief was accompanying Ivanov in a tour of Bangalore, where Russia has offered India advanced MiG-35 fighter-jets as well as satellite cooperation.
