So "one student" either has racist parents or is hanging out with the wrong kind of people. Immigration issues have nothing to do with "race."
I confused as to why a Spanish-language class is holding discussions of immigration (presumably in English). How does that advance the students' knowledge of the Spanish language?
This kind of foolishness is one reason I don't send my children to Catholic schools. They're almost as full of p.c. caca as public schools, and they cost a LOT more and are farther away.

Or possibly he was just being a stupid adolescent and repeating a phrase he saw on some TV documentary. Kids often say stupid things without grasping the significance of what they are saying, let alone believing what they are saying.
Example: I was a teacher in a small private high school when the Columbine shootings occurred. You probably recall that the shooters had a hit list. Well, following much TV coverage of the incident, I was walking down the hall between classes and found myself near a student of mine, who was walking down the hall repeatedly pointing at various students and telling them, “You’re on my list.” This kid would not have hurt anyone. He was just making a sick joke out of a tragedy.
I gave him a little lecture, BTW, but in a public school he probably would have been referred to about 5 various agencies just for starters. As to why a Spanish class is even holding such a discussion, I would be willing to bet that the teacher is a pro-illegal trying to indoctrinate her students.
