Not this white guy but I won't hesitate to defend myself for being white and have in the past. The real point here is the onslaught on western civilization both culturally and politically in the world which is perceived as anti-whiteness by folks of color and their guilty white enablers/collaborators.
Odd that you would call folks who defend their whiteness as putting others down when historically whites have been arguably the most magnanimous, self correcting, altruistic race this planet has ever seen. Nearly every redress the world has ever known in the modern era at least begain in the west.
Odd to that those who most often disparage the white race then in their next breath declare that race is a social construct when it suits them.

And I don't think it is wrong for white kids to stick up for their race but that doesn't not mean embracing supremacist or violent oppression of others but for some reason folks think whites being held to higher standards....there goes that darned soft bigotry thing again....that whites simply cannot stand up for their culture....well I sure do unashamedly......and without a robe or torches..lol....sometimes in certain in environments when one is attacked for the crime of being white as I have, you better stand up or get ready to bow.

And the idea that there are races of humanity is a social construct. It isn't "odd" when those who "disparage" (Disparage or criticize? The two are far from the same.) "the white race" recognize this. Even if a social construct, people do perceive themselves to be part of a distinct, large group of people who have a little more in common with each other ancestrally and phenotypically than they do with other groups.
