BERLIN (Reuters) - Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has told a German magazine that the United States has too many problems in Iraq to become involved in armed conflict with Iran. ADVERTISEMENT
Military action is sometimes discussed in Washington as an option in trying to derail what it sees as Iran's drive to develop nuclear weapons.
The United States "is not in a position to get into a new military conflict," Mottaki was quoted as saying in an excerpt of an interview to be published in Focus magazine.
"170,000 American soldiers can guarantee neither their own safety nor the security of Iraq," he said.

Nothing a couple of well place conventional long range air launched cruise missiles couldn’t fix. Target their political and military leadership using these stand-off munitions. From what I understand most of the population would love some of the freedoms we in the West enjoy. Kill off the leadership and stand back and watch the mob tear the reaming mullahs to shreds.

If there is civil unrest between two groups in a foreign country or even adjoining countries, I can think of no reason why we need to stick our nose in and tell them what to do. If there is no physical danger to American citizens, we should let them kill each other to their hearts content.
Now if you make your living off of the military wars that are going on, I can understand your objection to my way of thinking. That’s your paycheck that I want to cut off, isn’t it?
If it doesn’t affect you monetarily but you still want to be the top cop, then I suggest you suit up, grab a gun and get your butt out to the front lines where you are in line for being wounded or killed.
