Would his possible replacement be a Dem?

If he is appointed by LA Gov Blanco I am sure he would be a “D”.

I don’t condone what he did.

But I won’t be one to throw stones.

His wife and he reconciled. It’s up to the people he represents to decide whether or not to keep him.

And if Blanco picks his replacement, my guess is it will be worse for LA and better for incompetent Dems.

Heck, what THOMAS Jefferson did was a lot worse than what Vitter did

What?

Hemmings?....their relationship is recorded as very cordial...not exactly Simon Legree...she was probably glad to be in his focus...ensured her of easy street...relatively speaking...and she was supposedly not unaccustomed to being a house handmaiden...nor was her mama either apparently

That married woman in Paris?....that is arguably more problematic Biblically

I'm not sure Thomas Jefferson really did bad naughty things to be honest given his times.....he was known to treat his slaves quite well and freed them

nor has Vitter..

Don’t you just love all the moral relativism on show on this thread?

Our representative’s immorality isn’t as bad as theirs. So that’s okay. Carry on, nothing to see here. Lovely.

I guess the Clinton legacy has infected the Republican party as much as the Democrats.

All I saw today was a politician hiding behind the skirt of the woman he wronged in the first place, and trying to pass much of the blame on to the media which, in this case at least, was only doing it’s job.

Way to stand up and take it like a man, Vitter.

And I don’t believe for one minute his denial that he never use the services of prostitutes in New Orleans. All he’s done by denying it is give the press more incentive to dig out evidence from his past.

And when they do, he’s toast.

How long ago did this happen? I heard that Vitter confessed his sin to his wife 2 years ago, and so this isn’t new news to her....

If Clinton could remain in office and enjoy high personal approval ratings, why can’t a Rep? After all, it is just about sex and Vitter’s wife forgives him.

The dems will have a field-day with this guy's family values.

Talk about hypocrisy. I guess Dems are not vulnerable because they never talk about family values--not.

Stand strong Senator Vitter.

Ultimately it will be up to the voters in 2010, you should worry about them, not have to worry about Larry Flynt

Funny thing about the Klan. A Roosevelt appointee to the Supreme Court, Hugo Black, was a member of the Klan in the 1920s. Two of the biggests nests of the Klan were Indiana and Oregon. West Virginia, of course. And Byrd was a big shot in the Klan after it was no longer respectable.

He ditched the car in the water and deliberately left her to drown suffocate.

The difference being that she was alive for a long time down there.

“Democrats are hypocrites and liars. Many are also criminals”

Using that as a defense for Republicans being hypocrites, liars, and criminals is absolutely pathetic, however...

Remove him from every important comittee. Revoke any security clearances. If possible, have him arrested for his activies.
He needs to go.

Cheaper than a mistress. Less likely to cause problems too...

It's like they say...you don't pay them for sex...you pay them to leave after.

“STAND UP to the evil Larry Flynt”

And stop buying Hustler magazine. yes I know the articles are great but buy gent or Juggs or Heavy Women in Water. Equally fine magazines.

I wouldn’t know. Maxim online is about my speed. Sexy ladies, but always in (more or less) their tops.
