He won’t resign because he, along with so many others, continues to see this as merely an *indiscretion* — private matter between him and his wife, none of our beeswax. Why is it that this fallacy is allowed to take hold when the situation is not about indiscretion but about a lawmaker, by his own admission, violating the law?
To: Sub-Driver
Wow. I thought all Republicans cower in shame when outed by Larry Flynt. It would seem that Vitter has asked for and received forgiveness several years ago. I hope his constituents can forgive the way his Lord and his wife have. I thought maybe Louisiana was turning a corner with Vitter’s election. Let’s hope this doesn’t derail any hope for conservatives there. When friends pointed out that they believed the mess NOLA was in was Bush’s fault, I always reiterated that the Dems have been in control of Louisiana for 60 years......how could anything wrong there be Bush’s fault? I have hopes that conservatives can help Louisiana rise again as a good place to live. Maybe Jindal can secure the other Senatorial seat.

Saw Larry Flynt on Hannity last night, says he has dirt on several in Congress and 2 Senators.
Says he is waiting for further confirmation, before he releases names.

Meanwhile, Dianne Feinstein continues her job in the U.S. Senate with no media scandal surrounding her.
She’s a Democrat, you see...

Is this Defenant really thinking this out? Doesn’t each person who comes out in repentance, admitting what they’ve done, put another nail in her “there was no sex allowed” defense. All she needs is a couple more Vitter’s to come out asking for forgiveness for visiting her whorehouse.

It doesn’t make sense does it? I’m not for giving any of them a pass but I keep thinking of The Firm. Anyway, this is between God, him, and his family.

It’s good to see Vitter stand up to this. Let’s hope he really means it — and that his wife really is willing to let him stay in the Senate and not denounce him, whether they stay together or not.
In addition to keeping a Republican and a solid conservative in the Senate, it’s important for one of our people to finally STAND UP to the evil Larry Flynt. If no one does, there is no limit to the damage Flynt can do.

No. Republicans cower in shame when democrats approach them. Republicans do not visit prostitutes for sex. It's about another kind of pleasure:
"Oooooooh, Mr. Republican Senator, you're SO powerful. Say that veto word again. It turns me on...."

Who would get a hooker? A horny guy who wants action then and there. I won’t say it could happen to any of us, but it could happen to more people than we imagine. In addition, I think there’s just a different standard in N’Awlins. It’s never been a family-values place, and I bet some of the hookers in the French Quarter are top of the line in terms of looks. Bottom line, even good men are vulnerable to this.

Teddy Kennedy has still not been prosecuted for vehicular manslaughter, felony DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. As long as that pig sits in the Senate, the Democrats can just shut the hell up. Dianne Feinstein and Hillary Clinton haven't been investigated and/or prosecuted for their criminal financial transactions either. William Jefferson (D-LA) is still serving in the House as well. Democrats are hypocrites and liars. Many are also criminals.
