Bush made a mistake in declaring he would not issue a pardon while the case is open. That’s a cowardly way out. If Bush had any political courage (which he doesn’t except on the WOT) he would immediately pardon Libby. But I predict he will do nothing and leave Libby out there.

Actually, I think the Judge is praying that Bush pardons Libby, and is putting Libby in jail pending appeal to force Bush to pardon Libby.

This judge has made so many errors in this case that he is going to be overturned on appeal, and possibly repremanded by the appelate. If Bush pardons Libby, then any appeal becomes moot and the Judge's screw-ups won't be aired publically.

Well at least he has the political courage to fight the most important battle we face. A weaker man may have crumbled by this time.
