I never was a Thompson fan and don't particularly care for him anymore now.

Huh????? The most independent man in this race both financially and politically is Mitt Romney, far more professionally accomplished than Thompson and a true Washington outsider. Unlike Thompson, Mitt hasn't accepted a government salary yet, and isn't planning to even as president.

And furthermore, Thompson isn't going to govern any more conservatively than President Bush or Governor Romney.

If Romney were as smart and conservative as you say, he should have run Teddy out of office before seeking the White House...
