I have heard that upstate New York is like a different culture when compared to the rest of the northeast.

You betcha. Most of Upstate is made up of red counties, including mine. What Upstate needs is its own state :)

I hear that. We are in Missouri, and if we could give Kansas City to Kansas and St. Louis to Illinois, we'd be in pretty good shape!
