“..IMO there is only one choice for national security and border security...”
Border security = National security
and no other candidate is better than Hunter.
“I don’t look at the border as an immigration issue, I look at it as a national security issue.” DUNCAN HUNTER QUOTE
..I was hoping someone would point that out...
Any chance Hunter would bring the Calif. Electoral votes to the GOP in ‘08?
I thought the only reason for choosing a VP was to try and garnish their state’s votes...
Too early to care...I’ll be writing in my Mother for office again this election cycle...

Laura Ingraham was saying on her show that everyone is talking about Duncan Hunter being VP. Laura said why not “P.”
Laura really likes Hunter, and she helped to get Senator Thune elected.
I am hoping right along with you!
This was clearly posted by a time traveler. Notice his reference to the current immigration bill! OOOH! Spooky.
Just kidding, bro. Carry on. :)
APf
For those outside of CA, the proposition would deny certain social and educational benefits to illegal immigrants--the courts killed it.
But it is an indicator how upset most of the CA population at the time was over the immigration issue.
This would be a good test to see if DH's message would gain that kind of appeal now...
I like what Romney has said about immigration so far.
“..in 1994 Prop 187 was approved 59 to 41%

Hmmmm, that probably would help him to carry California.
Also, Hunter won the election for congressman against an 18-year Democrat rep., so he obviously has appeal from both major parties.
But I cannot think of another issue which could mobilize this entire state to vote for a conservative like this one.
Again, Duncan Hunter has the right message and the right solution...
I am betting you are correct...this bill will make it thru the Senate but barely get killed in the House. House has to get re-elected every 2 years
A Hunter, Thompson ticket?
Yes but what will be more sad is the many so called Republican conservatives on this very forum screaming for the scalps of Republican Senators for voting for this travesty will turn right around next year and vote for many of these very same Senators because it is more important to them to vote Republican at any and all costs. That's what is and will indeed be sad!
Either Hunter or Tancredo. I’ve already written off Romney or Thompson.
EXACTLY.
And of the three, I would rank Hunter # 1
Thompson # 2 and Romney a very distant # 3.
The rest are useless. If any of them are nominated, the Republican Party - what’s left of it post Jorge El Segundo and McClown anway, is finished.
Hunter is the answer.
Just what does everyone think that Fred! Tom, Duncan or Mitt will be able to do about it?
It is going to be a done deal long before the election, and even if they win, and we get a 90% conservative Senate and House along with them they won’t be able to undo the damage done by the RINOs and Demorcrats.
We have to stop it now. Immediately. Expecting one of these White Knights to come to our rescue on this impending disaster is foolish.
Tancredo/Hunter
or for you
Hunter/Tancredo
;-)
Wouldn’t that be a dream ticket?

I AGREE.
While it is vital to end the political careers of every pro-amnesty politician pronto, it will be TOO LATE if the bill is passed this year.
THE PRESSURE IS NEEDED IN THE NEXT WEEK.
Write letters to the editor, write to every Senator you can, call senators, Reps and the White House.
Only if there is a strong, vocal and clamourous response will this be derailed.
