Francisco Gimenez risked his life to get into United States. He is not planning to leave in a hurry. Like many members of Los Angeles' immigrant community, the 27-year-old butcher is skeptical about proposed legislation intended to offer illegal workers a path to citizenship.
Under reforms announced last week, Gimenez would be required to return to Mexico at some point in order to secure the right to work legally in the United States, possibly paying up to 5,000 dollars in fines additionally.
Gimenez fears however that once he leaves America he won't be allowed back in. "I don't really understand that much about the bill, but I'd have to be crazy to go back to Mexico to apply for visa now that I am already in the US," he says. "They wouldn't give me a visa there."

Except it won’t work. Ironically, Mexico is exporting its most able and ambitious workers instead of supplying them with jobs. Mexico is somewhat like Italy was before the First World War.
I am sure that $5000 fine will be deductible from any taxes he doesnt pay anyway....
Jack up the sales tax and reduce the property tax.
A. 1 year mandatory minimum prison sentence for anyone who employs an illegal
B. 1 year mandatory minimum prison sentence for anyone who provides government services, including public education, to an illegal (only exception: only live-saving medical assistance in the event of a bona fide emergency)
C. Strip any city or state of all federal funds...of any kind...if they establish themselves as a “sanctuary city” by deed or by written legal act, and strip any religious institution of all federal tax benefits if they act to assist illegal aliens in any way
Rush just mentioned this... Why is it that the people who support illegal immigration and amnesty for low cost labor are pretty much the same people who lambast Walmart for their low cost labor?

Cool! Hey, we've just come up with a "Compromise comprehensive immigration plan!" That wasn't so hard, and you managed to do it in well under 1 page!

2a) Announce a six month period during which illegals can sell their property in the US, provided they do so after leaving the country. After this period property owned by illegals in this country is subject to confiscation without reimbursement.
This increases the incentive for the illegals to self-deport.
That is because Mexico and the other Latin American governments have been preaching socialism, marxism and entitlements to them for 60 years, without the resources to follow through and actually provide benefits. The illegals know this is a rich country and want to get in on the redistribution of wealth that people like Senator Kenney are promising them.
I guess we are too smart for COngress!!!
Book Chip him, Dano!
Now explain to me why paying the fine of $5,000 isnt required first before the amnesty and the get out of jail free card?
Or does that make tooooooo much sense?
Silly me....
This is the answer. Send this message to all in Congress
I Agree, I Agree. Make Mexico start paying for its own citizens. And if I hear one more time, we pay taxes too. When! How! Not tax on purchases, I’m talking about income tax, social security. They are round the world paying by using stolen SS #s. Face the auditor like I have to. I don’t believe 75% of them are paying any taxes. Some employers pay cash, no questions asked. That way they don’t have to carry Unemployment Insurance on them. There are all kinds of angles. And have you heard of the one called “rent a family” at income tax time. Your return is legit except you carry a whole unreported family as dependents to collect the EIC. Then you pay the family a fee for their children and others SSNs.
How do you propose putting churches out of business?
“Illegal immigrants refrain: ‘Leaving America is not an option’”
When one prominent Republican suggested a “make ‘em go home, then
return” plan, I was torn between laughing and screaming.
Either that fellow was the silliest and most naive person born...
or a liar that had some sort of “escape clause” such as a trip to
the local consulate of their country would constitute a “trip home”.
Yes as an immigrant and naturalized citizen, I can attest to the fact that Sofaman is right...
That’s how we feel ...
I love this country and I volunteered for the US military before I became a citizen...
I wore my uniform proudly at the citizenship ceremony and I cried...I was so happy and awed and grateful that I was now part of the greatest country in the world...
Take away their tax exempt status.

On an individual basis, i.e. you don’t hit the entire denomination, but you MUST punish renegade priests and ministers and rabbis who use their premises to house these people. And the congregants in those churches should in some way be made to pay for these actions, as well as the clergymen responsible.
Its the only way to stop this nonesense.
The world is full of people who are needy. Obviously we can’t accept them all and equally obviously thier governments should be responsible for dealing with these issues, not the American taxpayers.
