Did in the GOP? We already lost Congress. The Presidency is about personalities, not party.

I think it was a combination of things. Certainly there were personalities like the Mark Foley situation that the GOP should have thrown over the side far earlier.

So of it is demoographic too. It is late in the decade. Some GOP voters are in the growing state under represented.

Definitely #19 - All of the Above. And I don’t believe that #1 - the War, in and of itself, is the issue - it is how the GOP has chosen to fight the war - namby-pamby-PC war, with nearly ZERO PR at home - leaving the liberal lies regarding Iraq to be what most citizens hear about left unanswered.
