Tunes For The Troops

This week we have some progresive music from the late 60's thru the 80's.
Next week we'll move along to the 90's & 2000's along with some progressive metal music.

Progressive rock, sometimes shortened to prog or prog rock, is a subgenre of rock music which arose in the mid-to-late 1960s, reached the peak of its popularity in the 1970s and has continued as a form of popular music to this day. It is commonly associated with symphonic rock and art rock.

The selections below are just a sampling. This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!

Enjoy the varity of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays have provided throughout the thread. Please ping LaurenMarlowe with your requests for the Troops.

All music is removed on Monday.
Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!

*Canteen Mission Statement*

Those pics are absolutely adorable!

My Maine Coon is in her "growing" phase. Long arms, big tail - the vet told me she would not weigh more than 10 lbs. BS - she will be a BIG girl. 8)

At 7 months she is eating me our of house and home.

Geez Louise......you're never going to forgive my memory lapse on the MiG-17 Fresco, are you!

'Know thy enemy'......the MiG 15s and 17s were air defense A/C at Kien An, Bai Thuong and Vinh but were no match for the Navy's fighters. The real NVNAF threat came from the MiG 19s (until we splashed several assets that were piloted by KORCOMs) and the MiG 21 (which was so small and fast that it was visually difficult to spot at distance). An AF colonel (I forget his name) advised canopy changes on US fighters to cope with the problems that existed at the time with aviator visual acquisition of the bogie. The A-7s, F-8s and even the F-4s were limited. Here's a new topic you can run as a follow up on in the progression of events that gave us the next generation of fighters.....and the borrowed technology obtained by our rivals.

BZ Alfa6 on your presentation and am looking forward to the next!

Fair skies and a tailwind!

Well, it just might work if he has any coordination and rhythm at all. :-)

Can he walk down the stairs and chew bubble gum at the same time?
