Nothing would improve the quality of political discourse on FR more than a macro that automatically deleted all threads where the posted article or headline contained the words “straw poll.”

"The idea ... that we move those people to prisons into the United States, where they can impart their bomb-making skills to American criminals, is, I think, one of the most ludicrous suggestions in the last several months,"
The sad part is that it's only been several months. At the rate we're going he's going to have to change the timeframe to "within the last 10 minutes".

I would not want the foundation of my campaign built on “straw”.
To: Strategerist
As soon as they find the macro that deletes the Gallup/CNN/Zogby threads that show name recognition studies, then I’ll be right there with you. Note the article is not about the straw polls mcuh at all.

I’m reminded of the thread where people got all excited that Katherine Harris won a straw poll in Tampa....

You’ll soon find that this man’s straws will count alot more than the house of cards the big three lemons are running on.

What we need is the macro that deletes posters that base their opinion of polls on whether the results make them happy :-)

And Im reminded of the idiots who think Rudy is actually going to win.
And the level of analysis behind that besides wishful thinking is what, exactly?
To: Strategerist
Better yet, a macro that somehow gets the GOP to grow a pair.

He’s a raging liberal, and as folks are learning that, he is sinking. I suppose the GOP may have taken a far enough turn to the left to choose him, but I doubt it. He will continue to sink as he is exposed. Of course there are gaggles of Oprah Republicans that don’t care much about those pesky liberal positions.

"The idea ... that we move those people to prisons into the United States, where they can impart their bomb-making skills to American criminals, is, I think, one of the most ludicrous suggestions in the last several months," Hunter said. "The inmates at Guantanamo eat better than any prisoners in the world. There have been no murders in Guantanamo, and there's no member of Congress who can say that about any prison in his district." Polls or not at least Hunter has common sense. Why in the world would MacCain want to move terrorists state side?
To: Just mythoughts
Because McCain is worried about the opinion of leftists. Always has been. One reason he’d make a terrible president.

The man has some serious leadership qualities and the fact that Chuck Yeager endorses him is like icing on the cake for me. (Yeager is a hero of mine)

Hunter is NOT a raging lib.
Exposed for wanting to secure this nation by securing our borders?
In case you haven’t noticed (obviously you don’t care to) the open borders and give amnesty to illegals crowd are the socialist dems! Chavez endorsed the illegals march on socialist communist day.
Oprah Republicans isn’t that a perfect oxymoron!
Again securing the border is NOT a lib position far from it!
Get your facts straight before making false accusations.
