Once the perp starts to act, the only way to stop a psychotic killer, who is willing to die, is the rapid application of return fire by whoever is near — Cop, civilian, military, it does not matter who. The more people who are nearby and capable of delivering return fire, the fewer and less serious the injuries to all. People need to be willing to act, to commit, to save others.

Sadly, gun free zones do not allow that.

If all the people on the 9/11 planes behaved like the ones on Flight 93 ...

Citizenship education is seriously lacking in most happy go lucky western countries.

Sorry, but I have to defend the people on the other planes. All the terrorists were in the cabin on flight 93. That was not the case on the other planes.

Flight 93 can't really be compared to the other flights. It was the last to go down. Before it crashed, the passengers had had phone contact with many people, as I'm sure you know, and the passengers were made aware of what happened to the other flights.

I don't think there is any evidence which shows that non-Flight 93 passengers had any idea that what was going on was anything but a "normal" hijacking. They had no idea that they were about to be used as missiles.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming...
