Former Vice President Al Gore appears before a House Energy Subcmte. hearing on Global Climate Change. He’s joined by Professor Bjorn Lomborg, author of a book titled, “The Skeptical Environmentalist.” Gore will also appear later today before the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee.

Arrogance, myopia, delusion.

I've told envirowhacknut friends to take a daytime cross-country flight and then report to me what they saw from their window.

No one's taken me up on it, but the answer is obvious to anyone: lots of trees and grass, and hige stretches of territory with very few people, cars, buildings or other structures.

Reagan was greatly concerned about nuclear war. His solution was for the good guys (us) to win the Cold War and for the bad guys (the Soviets) to lose. Unlike AlGore and his party who wanted to surrender immediately to the USSR. Some things never change....

He is itemizing his six "recommendations" now....full scale attack on the use of fossil fuels. Advocates more stringent requirements on coal-fired utilities. Higher taxes, of course, and that tired old "raise CAFE standards. I didn't catch them all. CAFE: A proven failure, how are we going to foster the conservation of a commodity by making it cheaper to use, Al. Huh?
