I think Hunter may have what it takes to win in 2008. Do you realize how many union votes we can peel off the dim base with his position on trade? What I like about Hunter is his bluntness and straight talk. He's just like your neighbor or someone you'd talk politics to at the tavern. He's an attractive candidate. I do wish he'd been more fiscally responsible though. But I'd rather have a fiscally weak candidate than an immoral, pro-abortion, pro-gun control candidate like Giuliani.

The man is just so damn quotable:
It seems every election year, some liberal politician dons an NRA cap and grabs a shotgun for a hunting photo-op, as if that means they support our right as Americans to keep and bear arms. I, myself, thoroughly enjoy hunting, having just recently spent a great weekend hunting elk in Arizona. But, the second amendment is not about hunting. It is about the right of you and me to be secure in our homes. We must vigorously defend against all attempts to chip away at the Second Amendment. You know as well as I do that there is one thing criminals prefer over any other: unarmed victims.

Veterans bump!
I think Hunter just got himself the vote of every single Vietnam Veteran in the country (well, except for Kerry):
But to this day, Hunter refuses to go back to Vietnam, and according to a source he said that the only way he would come face to face with a Vietnamese is at the end of my rifle.

Yes he was. An unlike the phony Kerry beating his chest, he seldom talks about it.

I'd like to tip a few cold ones with the man. Few politicians I'd say that about.

Yes! As I posted on another thread, Duncan Hunter is a true statesman among juvenile reactionaries. And as we shall see, cream always rises to the top.

I see you certainly like to use hyperbole.
It's not hyperbole when true.
But if you compare Barney Frank with Duncan Hunter
All I need to compare is that Duncan Hunter took a liberty from me and Barney Frank opposed the taking of that liberty.
