The Republicans don't owe the Libertarians anything, either.
I consistently score as a libertarian Republican on all political tests I've taken, but I'm not snotty enough to think that my philosophy is the political base or that withholding my vote for the best (or least worst) candidate on the ballot was in my best interest.
Obviously your mileage varies, but there is absolutely no reason why anyone should capitulate to your threats and demands.
If your candidate can't make the case and win on the merits, that should tell you something. Your threatened temper tantrum helps who, exactly? Conservatives? You?
Or maybe you really wanted Hillary elected all along.
Keep up with the insults, that'll win them back, right. </sarcasm>

Ok, so enjoy loosing elections.

Apparently, it is the Republican candidates who can't win, so it is in the best interest of the party not to alienate it's conservative base.

Were that the case, i wouldn't be supporting Ron Paul, as they are polar opposites.
You're wrong. Limited government and respect for basic human liberties IS indeed the base of the GOP. Don't sell yourself short.
I disagree here, too. Gore's support of gun control was the single issue that kept him from winning in 2000. The Dems have smartened up since then and pretty much shut their mouths on the issue, thereby bringing pro-gun Dems back into the fold and enjoying electoral success.
