I hardly had time to read the article. I was looking out the windows to see if there were any menacing Squeegee Men or sinister Public Urinators lurking around my house. I didn't find any so I guess I won't have to support Sir Rudy for president.
"Here are the numbers that have some relevance to Mitt Romney:

Are you more who are more or less likely to support a candidate who is a Mormon? Republicans only: More likely 8 percent (a lot more likely 4 percent, somewhat more likely 4 percent). Less likely 30 percent (a lot less likely 19 percent, somewhat less likely 11 percent). Not a major factor 59 percent.

Are you more who are more or less likely to support a candidate who has changed his or her position on the issue of abortion? Republicans only: More likely 16 percent (a lot more likely 6 percent, somewhat more likely 10 percent). Less likely 28 percent (a lot less likely 16 percent, somewhat less likely 12 percent). Not a major factor 39 percent.
I thought it interesting that Romney's known negatives were lower than what Giuliani's are at present. There is little doubt that base voters will find out about Giuliani and some of that support will slip noticeably. On the second question above, I thought it inconclusive. Giuliani hasn't changed his position at all. And as for Romney, I think GOP base voters give more credit for flipping to pro-life than flipping to pro-choice. So that second question was dumb.

You misrepresent what Rudy accomplished.
