Wonderful!!!

I saw the CNN pundits already spinning Rudy like crazy. Well, they know he is the one with the best chance to beat Hillary, so they are throwing every liberal issue they can think of to paint Rudy as a big liberal. They know that if Rudy wins the primary, it's all over for their darlings Hillary and Obama. So they need to stop Rudy now!

Great news, thanks.

Overrated. He just instituted common sense practices (professional law enforcement, increased spending on sanitation, etc.), that are common in most of the country, but only unusual in NYC.

Other than that, he is an intellectual cosmopolitan who's world view is foreign to that of AMERICAN conservatism, even in its most moderate forms. As an agnostic, his lack of religious faith does not bother me, but his East Coast mentality, control freak manner, and the sleazy characters he surrounds himself with do. If it weren't for being sainted for 9/11, he would have retired in disgrace (his approval rating in early September 2001 was in the low to mid 30s).

I have not spent my years of political activism and loyalty to the GOP to have Jacob Javitz with a vowel at the end of his name to become President.

Ideally, Newt would be the best man to lead the nation, but he has ethical issues of his own.

If that's the case, you're going to have a very unhappy election day.

"Other than that, he is an intellectual cosmopolitan who's world view is foreign to that of AMERICAN conservatism, even in its most moderate forms."

Rudy is a fiscal, domestic, and foreign policy conservative that supports strict constructionist judges.

"his lack of religious faith does not bother me"

He's a Catholic and certainly a firm believer in God.

"he would have retired in disgrace (his approval rating in early September 2001 was in the low to mid 30s)."

The Presidents approval ratings are there now and Truman's were even lower when he left office. Approval ratings don't mean much. Time for 24 now.

Never try to pin a rudophile down.

Fiscal? You mean that he managed Noo Yawks bloated, high tax welfare state well.

Catholic? You mean a thrice divorce, pro-gay (lived with two gay men) letch like Rudy?

Foreign policy? Other than being a wannabe Likudnik, Rudy's views on foreign policy are as shallow and cloudy as a mudpuddle in da Bronx.

"Strict Contructionist." BS! George Ryan and Eisenhower both said the same thing. Can you say Earl Warren boys and girls? Rudy is about as well versed in Anglo American constitutional principles as he is about women.

Did I mention that he is pro-illegal alien, stating in 1996 that Prop 187 was "morally wrong" and that New York was open to "all immigrants" regardless of legal status?

Rudy doesn't belong in the Republican Party, or any other AMERICAN political party. His line of thinking is more in line of that with the Gaullists and the old PDC in Italia. He is more of a Eurofag in his politics than John Kerry. ;-)

Love that new color-coded chart. So why is the Rudi running as a Republican anyway?

So why is the Rudi running as a Republican anyway?

Because he thinks the party would be better served if it took five or six steps to the left.

Yes, Rudy is the one they fear - he can talk, quick on his feet, and will make Hilly look like a wide eyed buffoons.

Keep an eye on this one. ;-)

Sadly so does about half the forum these days so it seems.

Rudy is our best chance for the 2008 Presidency.

-Newt would be the best man to have, but he would be destroyed in the Press.
-McCain is too unstable and has a temper.
-Romney and the rest are too unknown to even make a difference.

To all the single issue voters out there in regards to abortion: grow up. I'm Pro-Life. But I also see how many steps backward we would be taking if the Hildabeast was elected as President.

While he was the “Republican Mayor” of New York City he appointed more than 60 men and women to the Civil, Criminal, and Family Court benchs. In all of those judicial appointment not one of them was a Republican.

All of his judical appointments were either registered Liberals or registered Democrats. As the “Republican Mayor” he had appointment power over more than 70 full commissioners in more than 50 City agencies, yet at no time during his administration did REPUBLICANS account for more than 10% of those appointments.

He even appointed Chuck Schumers wife as the City’s Department of Transportation Commissioner.

"And a woman has never been elected president . . . (and I hope that trend continues in the case of Clinton)."

All of the Rudy supporters are praying that a woman or black man wins the DNC nominination. Otherwise Richardson will ride his NRA endorsement all the way to the Whitehouse.
