No it's not. He's a protectionist and would ruin the economy.

Excellent article. The original link should be forwarded to everyone you know that doesn't keep up with politics full time.

There are only two objections I have to Hunter:
1) I don't think he can win, and
2) I don't like his protectionist trade ideas.

The conservative case against him:
1. He's a lifetime pol from a safe district who's spent most of his adult life in Congress.
2. Nominee Hunter = President Hillary.

I saw Hunter on Cavuto's show yesterday. It was the first time I saw him in an interview and I liked what I heard.

Oh, I also forgot, he's anti-free trade and pro-earmarks.

Duncan Hunter is the real deal. A Conservative on the issues and
leadership abilities to prosecute the WOT. Duncan Hunter in ' 08.

"Not electable"
...And I'm glad.
I don't see this candidate appealing to anyone other than the most socially conservative, xenophobic, and economically illiterate members of the 55+ male demographic.
As far as I can tell, he wants to tell Americans who they are allowed to sleep with, what medical options are permissable, and limit American activity in free-trade channels.
I'd call him a socialist - a Christian socialist, but a socialist for sure.

I grew up in San Diego. And despite being in a state where liberalism reigns, he gets voted in. He is moderate, but he is also very conservative. People in So Cal love the man.
As far as a candidate, I am concerned about him not having Governor experience. I also hate to see someone like him leave California where more men like him are needed. Regardless, he's by no means perfect, but outside of knowing his campaign platform, he's strong, conservative, and I see a lot of potential.

I'm behind him. And I wasn't even planning to vote Republican next election.

Too conservative for this corrupt "Two-Party Cartel". He will be vilified by his own party much less the commies. Let's see if Newt runs, the staying power of Tancredo & how Duncan fends off his opponents but no doubt one of these 3 will have my vote. The rest can pound sand.

It's not going to happen. I know that put all of my resources into defeating anti-trade candidate, I know that I'm not alone. More importantly, I know that those positions alone are going to choke Hunter off from the funding he's going to so desperately need.

It's great that Hunter is running. He may win the primary. And if he doesn't, his very presence as an authentic conservative will halt the run-to-the-left that the DBM so desperately want us to adopt ("Its McCain vs Rudy!!!"). I wish him luck.
