And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

"I can't understand why the school thinks a tiny crucifix on a thin silver necklace is a health and safety hazard,'' she told the Mail.

It's the symbolism that the school hates.

I hate to see the UK go down with the rest of Eurabia but it certainly seems like there in no hope for them.

Too bad.

Would you believe it causes a rift in the space/time continuum?

Would you believe...it attracts lightning?

Would you believe... it breaches health and safety rules...?

hmmm. This is disgusting to say the least.

I know of some stories of adults wearing mock-crosses (which feature such tasteful modifications as a cocaine-scooping spoon at the bottom of the crucifix, surely a RAT-fuelled mockery of faith for atheist junkies), but I highly doubt this is what is being worn by these Christian children. Health and safety hazard my bum.

It's obvious that the powers are completely on the side of the people who would chop our heads off and impose an intolerant religious regime on all Christians and Jews.

i cannot imagine how a necklace has anything to
do with health and safety rules, just absurd!

i wear an emerald cross necklace to work (at a
school!) every day. it's a very special gift from
my boyfriend and i would never take it off. :)

The Left hates Christianity more than it hates Islam. There's truth in the assertion as seen in this incident from England.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus

A BRITISH schoolgirl has been barred from wearing a crucifix necklace in class, the Daily Mail reported today.

Samantha Devine, a 13-year-old Roman Catholic, was told by teachers in Gillingham, south-east England, that it breached health and safety rules, the paper added.

Her family reportedly said it will fight the decision and has accused the school of discriminating against Christians because Sikh and Muslim pupils can wear religious symbols.

Hope everyone doesn't whine and moan about how "they" are winning.

Don't forget, it's a battle. This is supposed to happen.

Sgt. York didn't cry that he was being shot at.

This is a British fiasco, but I don't rule out such a thing happening in an American school.

This happened to a friend's child who was in the 8th grade. Only difference is that it was in a Catholic school and the offending article was a scapular. THe boy's parents protested and he is allowed to wear it.

People are already self-banning the cross in the US.  During Christmas the US Bank Centre skyscraper here in Seattle has an elaborate gingerbread-house style exhibit of elaborate, edible "Christmas" creations.  They really are quite impressive.

This year, one of them was a "Kwanzaa"-Hanukkah-Christmas themed creation.  In the gingerbread house there was a little sign that had the Star of David (not a menorah), the African "Kwanzaa" symbol (not a corn stalk) and a Christmas tree (NOT a cross).

The discrimination was subtle, but obvious.

Ironically, last year the display was interesting because walking from my house to my job - through the heart of downtown Seattle - the ONLY place where the actual word "Christmas" could be casually seen was on one of the gingerbread displays.

It was on the gingerbread house called "A Very Muppet Christmas".

Imagine that.

I'm not even Christian and this situation annoys me.
