Is the war on Wal-Mart escalating?

Two Maine teen-agers are under arrest for detonating 2 acid bombs inside a shopper-filled local Wal-Mart, according to the Associated Press. Fortunately, no shoppers were seriously injured by the explosives, which were reportedly made from household items.
The motives for the attack remain unknown. The AP report states,
[Public Safety spokesman] McCausland said he had no information on why the bombs were set off in the store and whether the two juveniles had been in trouble with the law before.
He said the boys had made three additional explosive devices and placed one on the roof of a downtown business and two on the lawn of a residence. Those three bombs, none of which had detonated, were retrieved by investigators, he said.
Given the other targets, the two boys may not have been Wal-Mart haters, inflamed by the rhetoric of the anti-Wal-Mart movement. But we don not know.
The blog Verum Serum has assembled a list of other bomb threats against Wal-Marts nationwide. It is rather alarming.

Finally, this page on the Portland Independent Media Center where someone has collected 14 other incidents going back as far as 2001.
Imagine substituting “abortion clinic” for “Wal-Mart” in these reports, and imagine the degree of media coverage that would result. Imagine the reactions of politicians. Imagine the blame that would be thrown at abortion opponents, even those dedicated to strictly non-violent protest.
Strangely, those who agitate against Wal-Mart have not been subjected to any criticism at all based on these threats and violence. Probably, that is the way it should be. We all have the right to object to anything without being accused of fomenting violence.
All I would ask is the street be a two-way artery.

I've got a liberal friend in Toronto. (it happens) She says she loves WalMart because her ideals are on a budget. LOL
No..it doesn't. A lot of Democrats, perhaps. Many who are actually very conservative, just haven't figured out they are with the wrong party.... A few other races..colours..sizes..shapes..but mostly just a bunch of pasty white frenchmen.

Do you happen to know where the Moslem concentrations are in Maine?
It was discovered that the Muslim community in Atlanta did a nationwide search of the communities with the most generous welfare policies, and Maine won. Ergo, welfare rolls doubled, especially in Lewiston.
BTW, I haven't seen any identification of the nationality of these 2 creeps. My gut feeling is that they are John Edwards anti-Wal-Mart enviro-whackos.
Is Lewiston the only, or the primary, concentration? Or are they sprinkled around?
Mostly Portland, the state's largest city, and Lewiston. There are others sprinkled around the state.

The one in Branson is jam-packed with all ages of people from all over the country at all hours day and night.
The one in Neosho is fairly new if I remember correctly.

Imagine substituting "black church" or "democratic party headquarters" or "battered women's shelter" or "Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered Center" for "Wal-Mart"...
Dems are for TARGET b/c it is owned by a Dem Senator. The Walton family does have ties to the Republican Party, but that's not why the average Jane and Joe go there to shop. They go there b/c they can save money over what they would have to spend for the same items at Target. Whenever partisan politics heats up, Wal-Mart becomes a target for all these "investigative journalist" types who think they can fool the American people with all this "objective" reporting about the corporate evils of Wal-Mart. You never, ever see anything negative about Target. Frankly, I do not believe for 2 seconds that everyone who has ever worked for a Target is an eternally blissful, happy camper. The media is just not telling us (what else is new?). I've now lived in 3 different communities that have both. In all 3, Wal-Marts are jammed day and night all 12 months of the year, and Target? Well, maybe at Christmastime, you will have to wait in the check-out lanes for a few minutes, but the rest of the year those aisles and check-out lanes are either empty or sparsely populated. Jane and Joe - as usual - know what the score is. Target has some nice stuff, but overall, their quality is inferior to Wal-Mart's. They try for this "upscale," "urban chic" image, but hey, who cares about that when you're buying toilet paper, laundry detergent, and pajamas for the kids? The amount of inventory they carry is way less too. Wal-Mart is just a vastly superior operation, and it provides the customer with better prices, a better selection, and better service. If the Dems like Edwards do succeed in bringing it down, the elitests who never go there in the first place will cheer wildly, braying noisily on the MSM networks about "justice for the workers" and so on, but Jane and Joe will end up paying the rich Democrats who own Target even more for their toilet paper and kiddie pajamas.
