NY Times Scolds Public for Holiday Shopping (Marxist trust baby alert!)
Fox News | 11/28/06

Posted on 11/27/2006 1:21:36 PM PST by pabianice

David Corn of "The Nation" was just on Fox, scolding viewers for trying to enjoy the holidays while we are at war in Iraq. Picking-up on the New York Times' latest rant, Corn glared into the camera and grimly reiterated the message from "Putz" Sulzberger and his staff of leftist trust babies: 'How dare you shop and enjoy the holidays while we are involved in a war of which we at the Times personally disapprove?'

LOL! And "Don't Tread on Me!"

Until British intelligence got serious about it. Read the chapter on the IRA in Bill Gertz's book Enemies. The pansies in our intelligence operations should all read this chapter (I'm not saying they're all pansies). The whole book is good but this part of it is an eye opener. Until we learn this lesson (and the New York Times stops blabbing secrets) there will be a "cycle of violence."

Hello, New York Times.
Yes, I would like to inform you that I was planning on getting my beloved mother a one year subscription to your paper. However, after watching Mr. Corn excoriate people who are purchasing gifts while there is a war underway in Iraq I have second thoughts.

After being educated by Mr. Corn I have decided to do my patriotic duty and not purchase a subscription to your paper. I now feel so much better.

David Corn doesn't care about Iraq or the people serving there. He's rooting for defeat.

"wow... faux allowing"

Wow, yet more FReepers adopting DU lingo. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

A story was in the NYT and Fox reported on it. Put a band-aid on it.

Not a surprise. We're not supposed to enjoy ourselves, according to the libtards. We are to sit quietly in the corner contemplating world poverty while eating a strictly vegetarian diet and have no access to guns, knives, pointy sticks, or scissors without rounded ends.

During all wars America has been in during my lifetime, 74 years, Thanksgiving and Christmas has always been even more special to our troops on the war front as well as to the folks on the home front. Celebrating these special days in the traditional way despite the war is bitter sweet, to those at home and to those away, but despite the miles between physically, brings them all close together in their hearts and minds.

Remember the words of the beautiful song:

I'll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams.

Knowing the folks back home were forsaking Christmas for the duration, would be the most depressing and demoralizing thing we could do to our troops.

Monday's talking points from the Times. The NYTimes is surely the model newspaper for Ayn Rand in the Fountainhead. The publisher, Gail Wynand, reveled in manipulating public opinion.

The difference is that Wynand was a self-made man, little Pinch seems less than a man and is even less self-made.

Hard to believe any self-respecting carp would lower itself to feed off of that cretin.

LOL! Good point. Carp are bottom feeders, but they are not cannibalistic toward other bottom feeders.

So far on this thread you've attacked FOX News and the president. Want to go for any more of the good guys before you quit?

And while Iraq burns, the New York Times is happily publishing articles denigrating the war effort, and encouraging the enemy to kill more of our servicemen and women. Merry Christmas, you f***ing bastards. If this were 1943, "Pinch"'s neck would have been acquainted with 13 knots of hemp, or at least the reasonable threat thereof.

And did anyone from the Times refrain from shopping that day? I thought not.

I have trouble digesting Corn

Is it david corn or david corn-hole? I'm so confused.
