Nightmare at Franklin

Emer O'Shea knew something was wrong the minute she picked up her daughter from Franklin Elementary School. The third-grader was normally very perky upon seeing her mother and new baby sister, but this time she glanced at her mother without indicating what was wrong, except to say that the school's social worker had visited the class. But Emer soon heard from another parent about what had happened in her daughter's class that day, and she was both stunned and mortified. The next day her young daughter finally opened up with a question that would baffle most parents of an 8-year-old child, "Mommy, is it possible for a man to have an operation to become a woman?"

Transgenders and transvestites. These were the topics that a staff member at Franklin School in West Newton chose to teach to a class of third-grade children. ...

As a result of this particular "classroom lesson," Emer's daughter was petrified. For an 8-year-old accustomed to a child's world of Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny, the little girl had nightmares, ...

N0 wonder our children are having such rampages in school the teachers and staff are brainwashing them. Public schools cannot be entrusted with educating our children.

It does boggle the mind, but we must understand that these people want this to become the norm. It is extremely damaging to children.

The Principle, the teacher, AND the "social worker" had an agenda. That's obvious.
I do believe that I would have had to retain an attorney.

This is Massachusetts? I guess she wouldn't get anywhere with a court case there, but I would try a civil case. I mean, it seems as if the child suffered damages.

Time to pull the plug on public schools. They have been
infiltrated by brainwashed dimwits who live on the
public largresse. Time to go private all the way.

Do not think for one moment that your school board and school administrations do not keep the wagons circled at all times.

Yes, my children attend public schools - fortunately very good ones. But they are all the same in that respect. You have to be willing to keep shovel in hand to dig info out. Info that should clearly be available to you.

I grew up in Newton MA more than a few years ago. It wasn't like this back in the 60's. But like I said that was a few years ago LOL. I guess many of us have become like Dana Carvey's Grumpy old man - we didn't have transvestite teachers - AND WE LOVED IT!

So, your kids attend "good" ones, whatever that means in this era of dumbed-down standardized tests.

Read the stoy again. This mother did not know BEFOREHAND what the school was going to do, and AFTERWARDS has to deal with the consequences.

You can dig all you want for the info, but when you only get it after the fact you are in fact powerless to protect your children.

Anyone who has kids in public school is asking for problems.

Just to show that God has a sense of humor, in the sidebar was a photo of Gunga Dan Rather with the word "TRUTH" in big letters above him.

Why, Danny-boy's just as closely related to Truth as the Franklin Elementary is to decent education!
