White House Collected Many More Confidential Files
WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, June 26, 1996) -- Capitol Hill aides disclosed that an additional 300 FBI files were obtained by the [Clinton] White House, among them files on former National Security advisor Brent Scowcroft and former CIA Director Robert Gates.
That raises the total number of files improperly collected by the White House office of personnel security to some 700 files, including many prominent Republicans, and the scandal is causing a furor among congressional Republicans.

I think there were a lot of us that stayed up late hoping, and praying, things would take a turn for the better.
I noticed some of my late night posts suffered as well--not the intent, mind you, but the grammar and spelling were, probably, in the toilet.

Ahh, all is NOT lost... it looks bad but the Dems actually have to work now, we get to sleep in late and drag our feet, and then b*tch, moan and complain that nothing is getting done.(good job if ya can get it)

Yes, but remember it is much easier to influence policy from INSIDE the party in power, than it is influence policy from OUTSIDE the party in power. A principle my Father hammered home at every opportunity!! The natural "brake" to the President's unreasonable (in my opinion) position on immigration, was the HOUSE.
They had actually come around to supporting some workable solutions, even some of the Senators were coming around. However, the Democrats, with the able assistance of nay-saying "ultra-conservatives", et al, have very successfully managed to shoot themselves--and every other living soul in this country for generations to come--in the foot!! Now, we have nothing--some big gain, huh?
Just watch, now the immigration issue will be quickly, quietly, and completely, put to bed, a "win" in the Dim column, with no other discussion. English as the national language? Ha! We will have no pesky "guest worker" program, WE will have a "general amnesty".
I can't tell you how "proud" I am of those third party turds and their partners in crime! Why, they vote (or "don't vote", as the case may be) their "conscience"--NO MATTER WHAT THE BOTTOM LINE COST IS TO THEIR COUNTRY, THE MILITARY, or anyone else!!! Now that's commitment, damn it!/s in aces

Now that's commitment, damn it!/s in aces" Sometimes I think we're all kidding ourselves. I had been saying that I'd vote Republican only because they are driving our country over the cliff a little slower than are the democrats. But right now I'm thinking, "it's over, America has lost the battle for morality, family, autonomy, religion and peace, and the Republicans have proved to be almost as instrumental in this tragic loss as have been the democrats". OK, so a Republican-controlled House of Representatives would have staved off the Bush-led Mexican invasion for a few more years, so what? Might as well start getting used to the idea of living amongst ignorant, Third World immigrants who hate English speaking America, there was no stopping it anyway. Political correctness and feminized males have made certain of that. We elected garbage and we got garbage.
That said, the ill wind that's been blowing in the U.S. for a few decades now is more spiritually based than political. I've witnessed a mass falling away from faith, (aka apostacy), in our country, and we reap what we sow. God will bless a nation that bows to Him, but how can we expect His continued blessings while we live in a disgraceful society that mocks God and His laws?

I suspect Shrillery
would give up her copies of those files
about as quickly
as she would give up her toungue, clitoris, her right arm, her black empty stoney heart, her neck . . .
in other words . . . when she's ice skating on hell frozen over.

<< Since Gates' file is "out there" he can be compromised. Best his nomination be withdrawn. >>
Why did Bush select him??
Once the file was obtained, the cat is out of the sack. Copies were made, info is out. Can't be undone.
but.....
We do not need a compromized or compromizable Sec of Defence. E-specially one with Iran//contra baggage in the closet. Conflict with Iran is looooming.

I wonder if Hillary is going to recuse herself from the Senate Armed service commitees confirmation hearings
