I would suggest the first thing everyone does is take a break from politics, hang out with family and friends and enjoy life. Recharge your batteries.

I will definately do this. Can't wait for Thanksgiving. :) YUM, turkey. :) But I don't want the next two months to go by and we not strengthen and prepare ourselves for what is to come in January.

You know, weird thing is, I wasn't even all that upset about what happened yesterday -- it was what I've been expecting for the last 3-4 months anyway, despite much of the singing to the choir here. What has me peeved is what Bush just did. His "graciousness" simply comes across as weakness anymore, and he pretty much spent the last hour telling the Dems he'll do anything they want if they don't impeach him. I'm reminded of Madrid on 3/12.

All of this loser talk is just par for the corse.

I remember it in 1992, 1996, and 1998.

Everyone will go around blaming everyone else. They will demand everyone resigns, and they will get depressed and drop out. Next year they will be back and fighting the left with the same energy they had before the election.

The funny thing is that they never see it the day after the election.

I think that's a good idea. We're all in some degree of shock, and worried about the future, but MNJohnnie set the right tone with his first post. We'll have to get over the initial shock and then begin to work hard to rebuild our party in accordance with conservative principles.
