Sure.
Isn't it interesting that the very people who are not willing to sell out their "principles" are more than willing to sell out ours!

I have to tell you...they're driving me crazy, from the government on down.
That said, this kind of thing sure has a way of separating the wheat from the tares and I have an all new perspective on who to trust. So it's not all bad.

I'll never find a candidate that agrees with ME 100 percent of the time, will you?

"I'm not sure how electing a democratic congress strengthens the GOP." It certainly doesn't and the writer is either a fool hoping Libertarians can fill some of the void created by handing government over to the democraps or the writer secretly desires democrat control of this nation. What the fool writer fails to understand or doesn't give a damn about is the effect democrat control over our courageous military personnel and the effort to fight terrorist islamofascism will have and the inability to recover from Democrat clintonista style forewign policy ... and only a blind fool thinks the clinton machine is no longer controlling the demcorat party destiny.
To sit at home and not vote more pubbies into office is to hand our sovereignty over finally to the democrat party which is Sorosesque in the extreme. This election cycle is probably the last great pportunity to show democrats, the whoredom of democrat media, and the Republican party just how powerful the conservative vote can be in America. Rather than play spoiled brat voter, as the fool writer of the column encourages, conservatives ought to be turned out in record numbers, to bury the damned demcorat party and their sycophantic whore of alphabet media, giving the real brats a true spanking. Lazy tantrum suicide improves nothing. Period.

Character is putting your country over your personal agenda.
But you knew that.

What's the definition of insanity again? In this case it's constantly returning Republicans to power and having the audacity to expect different results. And what could be more stupid than that?Voting for a democrat.
And not voting at all is the same thing, IMO.

I agree.
There HAS to be a way to punish the GOP without punishing ourselves with a Dem controlled congress. It is just TOO abhorrent to imagine!Hold your nose in 2006; punish 'em in the primaries in 2008.
To: Howlin
Maybe they'd like old Tom Daschle to make a comeback!

It never ceases to amaze me how three or four people can go tearing into the wilderness assuming everyone will follow...and when everyone does not, call THEM apostate.
LOL.

I agree. I am not voting for any individual candidate-with one possible exception-but will be voting on the initiatives here in Kalifornia.

Why are you all always living in the past?I'm not living in the past, I'm learning from it. You're not much of a conservative if you can't.
To: smokeyb
Channel your frustration more productively into promoting libertarian and conservative ideals within the Party. Let's get to work!

"Hey...since when is voting "Republican" the acid test for character?"
Ever since the opposite of "Republican" became "Democrat" on most ballots. As has been stated countless times on this website, vote for the most conservative candidate in the primary, and vote for the Republican in the general election. If a person espouses conservative values but thinks giving democrats the leadership of our Congress is a good way to "Deliver a Spanking", they reveal a true shallowness of character and a patently immature lack of judgment.
