The first anti-veteran hate group that we should deal with is the " Winter Soldier " group.
I believe that you recently reaffirmed your membership in that group.
The group claims that you Major John Murtha and the men of your command committed horrible attrocities in the Vietnam War.
They believe that all Vietnam Veterans should be held collectively responsible for the hateful actions attributed to you and your command.
The Winter Soldiers are even calling for war crimes trials.
While these horrible acts allegedly occurred in 1967, they have adversely affected Vietnam Veterans for 39 years.
In those 39 years you have done nothing to defend your 1st Bn 1st Marines in regards to these allegations and more recently you have joined the Winter Soldiers group. That very group that made the accusations against you.
Congressman Murtha you have made the situation even worse with your condemnation of the Haditha Marines.
Do you think that you understand the actions of the Haditha Marines because the men under your command committed similiar or worse attrocities in Vietnam ?
Do not blame President Bush. You John Murtha, former Marine and member of the United States Congress forfeited the Honor of all Marines by your actions during the Vietnam War and by your continued actions against our Marines in Iraq.
The groups that oppose you are not shadowy. They openly challenge you. At your rally in Johnstown I stood within arms length of you as you laid that wreath "Honoring Veterans". We have given you every opportunity to restore " Honor " to the United States Marine Corps. You no longer are capable of seeing or hearing Honorable Marines, you only see "scumbags" that interfere with the John Murtha life plan.
I welcome your challenge to the Patriot Project supporters and I urge all Patriot Project supporters to take a stand against anti-veteran hate groups right now.... but please realize that the greatest anti-veteran hate group in our country is the " Winter Soldier Group. " Unfortunately Congressman John Murtha is part of that group.

Call me a scumbag if you want, Murtha. No soldier will ever call me a Judas, as you've been called to your face by Iraq vets. What was the price to betray them, Jack?
To those 'scumbags' who have already seen this post, my apologies for a double ping. To those 'scumbags' who haven't, I'm sorry to ping you to this post.
They take on the people who think that, in a tough political spot, outright lying about a veteran's record is fair game.
Viciously attacking hundreds of thousands of people that are trained to hit targets at 500 meters with iron sights does not sound like a good survival strategy. One day, a member of almost any crowd (except maybe hippies and Amish) will get pissed off enough to think that they have nothing left to lose.
If Murtha were fed to the sharks, the sharks wouldn't even touch his toxic hide.
"As a Veteran that wants to have Murtha Booted, the last statement makes me want to barf. Release your 180 Jack."

Well, as a vet, I am offended. I'll take my vote elsewhere.
Given what the definition of the word scumbag is, it's hard to believe that anybody who considers hiself to be a serious spokesman for any segment of America would use that word in public, let alone an elected member of Congress.
