A toy doll of the oil-loving, America-dissing, South American power-consolidating Venezuelen leader Hugo Chavez is selling like hotcakes on the streets of Caracas. He's got his hands firmly on the most important oil reserves in the Western Hemisphere, he has a hit TV show that broadcasts every Saturday -- and he has his very own doll. Hugo Chavez, the 52-year-old president of Venezuela, has become a Latin American cult figure in every sense of the word. In the capital city of Caracas, a 60-centimer-high Chavez action figure wearing the uniform of a Venezuelan parachutist has become a surprise bestseller in stores. This plastic replica of the former military commander also talks. Push a button and it says, "I arrived here to do all humanly possible to help all the Venezuelan people realize their dreams and their desire to be free and equal." Chavez has made public-image moves to replace his friend and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro as the true "líder latino Americano." Lately he's been on the road around the world as a forger of what he calls an "axis of good" -- a trip that has taken him from Caracas to places like Tehran and Hanoi. On his world tour Chavez managed to visit the ailing Cuban dictator at his sickbed not just once, but twice. It was Chavez's way of signaling that Castro's regime is propped up by infusions of Venezuelan oil -- rather like a bedridden old man kept alive after a blood transfusion.

Hmmmm - the AntiChrist?
Chavez is loved by the KGB agent in the Kremlin...
It's probably a bobble head doll.
MiniMe!
I've got news for the little tinpot dictator ... they're sticking pins in them.
I think I will get one and take it down to New Orleans to one of the Voodoo queens there , I would love to stick pins in it.
I wonder what'll happen if one sticks some pins in it.
Three posts with the same thought in 25 seconds, lol.
It looks like left over Clinton dolls with black hair and a beret.
Being from New Orleans I have some expertise in this area, however I am currently working on my Castro Doll and I can't say where I put the pins, but it's working.
I bet Lief will be interested in trying to sell these on ebay.

Our Range Master says he plans to order a gross...
If the uglyness of the doll isn't a problem, then perhaps a whole new series of "genocidal butcher" dolls can come to market. A "Fidel" doll, "Pol Pot", "Idi Amin", "Mao" and "Stalin" are certain winners! Imagine "Stalin's Dream Dacha" and your own "Soviet Stolipin Car" to play with. Next would be your very own "Mass Graves Playset" that will help with all the neighbor hood kids if they refuse to play "Slave Labor Camp".
"It looks like left over Clinton dolls with black hair and a beret."
It does resemble Clinton more than Chavez, who I've always thought looks like an aged out Beaver Cleaver, with a tan.
Hey, it's even "battery operated".
What do ya'll think that means?
Where can I get one? I got this big pin I want to shove up hi9s a$$.
