I generally don't agree with anything he says, but...
"This left a political vacuum for conservatives to fill on the right. "
I suppose then the extreme conservatives would be those who believe we should have remained as subjects of King George ...
They'll keep their mouths shut just like they never speak out aginst Iran's degradation of women.
What he is talking about as "Liberalism" is freedom to oppose hard line Islamic law. Our Liberalism seeks just the opposite.
Today, students should shout at the president and ask why liberal and secular university lecturers are present in the universities," the agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying during a meeting with a group of students. They'll be shouting at you, Mr. President. But what they will have to say will be something different.
It's an old communist ploy to take the name of something that describes the direct opposite of who they are or what they are.
LOL.....Nope.....
Looks to me like they want to go back to President George.........Washington that is....
LOL......
Perhaps that will happen, but we also become a second rate international power as well...Which would suit them just fine....Less complications...
If the people who call themselves Democrats in the U.S suddenly found out what their party really is, they would all become independents from the reality shock.
The Democrat party today is all designed around the demonetization of the Republican Party. It is ignorant of any other goal. It has no center, no real purpose or direction.
Even they do not know what they are. But they do know that they are not on the right, because right is bad.
What they are is stupid.
We have a few of those ourselves.
Hey monkey man...lets make a deal.... Iran and the USA both purge liberal teachers. Then we trade off our liberals for yours. Promise you they will look great in burquas, beards and turbans plus they love you man and they already despise the USA, christian zionists and Israel. Lets DEAL.
Did anyone read the book "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi 2004 Random House Books? It's a very interesting read about a group of Islamic women in Iran secretly getting together to study and read classic literature like 'Lolita' 'The Great Gatsby' etc... which are banned by the Islamic Republic. What we take for educational granted in the USA these repressed women took on dangers just to enrich their lives with great works of literature. So the so-called professor-like Ahmadinejad is more like a repressor in banning books of learning. You liberals should be extroadinarily grateful for the freedoms you have here and stop trashing the USA... fools.
Of course if he meant the clones of the NEA!!!!!!
He understands the demographics - those mullahs aren't getting any younger, and as it stands right now the young people there would be pleased to hang him from a lamppost.
I hope so. Levi's and Pepsi.
There is something eerily familar sounding in this story, but I can't quite place it. Has it already been posted under a different title, or something?
That's unfair. It's like asking if Ahmadinejad has ever called for the destruction of Israel.
Meanwhile, liberal professors at U.S. colleges give Ahmadinejad a standing ovation.
