Charo was born in 1941. She looks mighty good for a 65 year old.
I can't remember that commercial, but it seems familiar. But I've always liked Charo.
Hell, she's older than me and definitely looks a LOT better than I do!
I clicked your name and took a look at you in your Xena outfit...not bad, not bad at all. :D I'm sure you can pull off Charo quite well.
Coochie Coochie!
And then, there are the commercials that play in quick succession. Those irritating Dr. Z commericals (Chrysler), for some reason, tend to play in a 2-3 repeat loop during breaks in sporting events. Dr. Z has to be one of the most irritating characters on TV.
I figured I'd groused enough, but especially when I'm in the car, I make a note of any ad that starts with the sound of a siren or a car wreck and never buy their product. If I think of it, I'll call or email the corporate office and complain. That drives me nuts when I'm driving and hear the sound of a car crash.
I like the Red stripe beer ads.
"Hooray beer"
Thanks Twosue,I have been beating my head in trying to remember that.
My hubby laughs at me whenever their commercials come on and I either change the channel or mute them. The Little Richard one is by far the worst though. I've had an urge to make a complaint to Geico, but have come to my senses. Why should I waste my valuable time to help that stupid company get rid of a commercial they should never have made in the first place?
I know one thing. I'll never buy their insurance. They're run by a bunch of idiots!
I enjoyed all of the Pillager series of commercials, and do recall the reindeer shoot. The battle of the bands one is funny, too, if you think about the line "HELGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
"Mashed potatoes...........gahravy.............and cuhranberrih sauce.....................woooooooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooo!
Accccck! Where is your mute button! LOL...
OH, I almost forgot. Ovaltine ads are on TV too, just not as numerouse. No cartoons, no nothing except Barney level acting. I can see where some people think there is too much violence on TV but I would forgive the Quick rabbit if it came out and throttled the little creeps.
It's non offensive and cute.
This poor lad needs to get a copy of The Hucksters with Sidney Greenstreet, pounding the table and shouting, "...Beauty Soap, Beauty Soap, Beauty Soap..." to impress noobie ad exec Clark Gable that selling the name is all that matters...
Great movie from the 40's.
Oh, HELL yeah. I can talk like an auctioneer.
They don't offer better deals either (as their ads claim). While their commercials are creative, they are quite creative in their "Save 15% on car insurance" statement too. I did a quick check after I moved between a couple of states in the last year. In Texas and Colorado, Geico's rates were significantly higher than other nationwide insurance companies that offered the same coverage/benefits.
Haven't read the entire thread yet, so you probably already know that that's Kenny Mayne of ESPN.
