Family waits for word on Fox reporter
SAN JOSE, Calif. The brother of a Fox News reporter who's been kidnapped in the Gaza Strip says the family is "holding up O-K" as it waits for news.
Ken Centanni is the brother of reporter Steve Centanni, who was kidnapped along with a cameraman from New Zealand yesterday near the headquarters of the Palestinian security services.
At the family's home in San Jose, California, he said, "We're confident things will resolve themselves." But he says family members "haven't heard from the kidnappers yet."
Ken Centanni says the family was always worried that something like this might happen, but that his brother didn't seem to have much fear. He says the reporter "loves the human interest side" of his job, and that he may have "compassion for the kidnappers."
No one has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping, and police say no demands have been made. Major militant groups are denying any connection to the case. U-S officials say they're in touch with Palestinian officials and with the Israelis to see if they can help secure the release of the journalists.
