I'm surprised Al Reuters didn't defend the photo claiming that no one could prove the story wasn't true.
Before the 60 Minutes "TANG Memo" fiasco I suspect that they might have tried to stonewall like CBS did in that case and - successfully - in prior cases. But I would think that they might have the threat of beeing sued by Israel for defamation.

And there was enough internal evidence in the fraudulent image itself to convict them in front of a jury. They've got enough trouble as it is; from now on we will remark about any Reuters image, "Sometimes Reuters Photoshops."
